ARTOHOLIC Creative Direction: Lookbook 101’s

Sometimes lookbooks get a little boring and can often fall under the “front, back side - straight up and down” studio style of shooting. This is where you need to bring your own point of difference to create something a little more unique. You’ve got the whole crew there, why not make this amazing, not average!

Every lookbook we take on, we try to always create that ‘campaign’ style imagery to go along side the standard shots. The idea here, is that the final images will then tell more of a story and highlight the mood and energy of the brand or label you’re working with. Today we are featuring one of our shoots for an Australian clothing label - POL’s spring/summer 16’ lookbook which features this strong campaign feel.

By working with us to outline the creative direction before your shoot and have on-hand visual reference points to work off, the entire team has clarity on the brief and everyone knows their role in how to achieve the desired finished product. Meaning you get what you planned to out of the day! We always work through the elements of it all, the ingredients if you will. This includes defining exact lighting, location, additional styling or props, mood, expressions, cropping, hair & make-up and every other little detail we think will make your shot.
